Teaching objectives
Learning the basic concepts for optimising relational queries, knowing how to make objects manipulated by object languages persistent, knowing the various possibilities, their advantages and disadvantages. Get an overview of different types of advanced databases. Know what business intelligence is, its concepts and applications.
Recommended prior knowledge
Knowledge acquired in the module on databases (bachelor's degree in computer science).

       1.     Multimedia DB requirements.

       3.     Characteristics.
       4.     Some applications.
IV.       Format conversion (Mapping)
       1.     Object - Relational.
       2.     XML - Relational.
V.       Deductive databases
