BIOLOGY CELLULAR

This module is intended for students in the first year of the license of Natural and Life Sciences.

Lessons have a combination of reading and hands-on activities to give you a chance to process the material while being an active learner. Each lesson
contains several topics, and self-marked activities, and some lessons contain links to online multimedia resources.

In this course, cell structure is considered, as well as the importance of the cell as a basic component of all living matter. Various adaptations of a cell are discussed together with the adaptations that a cell can undergo to perform different functions. The methods used by cells to absorb chemicals are described, as is
the action of enzymes which are chemicals released by cells.
