CLIMATOLOGY
Climatology for First-Year Agronomy Engineering Students
This course provides an in-depth understanding of climatology, emphasizing its significance in agronomy. Students will explore the fundamental principles of climate science, the various factors influencing climate, and the interactions between climate and agricultural systems. The course aims to equip students with the knowledge to analyze climatic data and apply this understanding to optimize agricultural practices.
Course Objectives:
By the end of this course, students will be able to:
- fine and explain key climatological concepts and terminology. Undstand the structure and composition of the Earth's atmosphere.
- lyzthe primary factors that determine climate patterns, including solar radiation, atmospheric circulation, and ocean currents.
- Intretlimatic data and utilize various tools and indices relevant to agronomy.
- Assesse iact of climate on agricultural production and develop strategies to mitigate adverse climatic effects.
