Ethic and deontology

This course introduces the fundamental principles of ethics and deontology within the university environment. It aims to help students understand the core values that guide academic work, professional conduct, and daily life within the academic community. Through key concepts such as integrity, responsibility, justice, transparency, and respect, the course provides a framework for reflecting on best practices in teaching, research, assessment, and interactions among students, faculty, and the institution.

Students will learn to identify unethical behaviors (plagiarism, cheating, favoritism, conflicts of interest, etc.), analyze real-life scenarios, and develop a professional attitude aligned with established academic standards. The course emphasizes the role of both students and teachers as responsible actors in maintaining a healthy, fair, and respectful academic environment.

By the end of the course, students will be able to:

- Understand the core principles and values of academic ethics.
- Recognize the deontological obligations related to various academic activities.
- Adopt responsible behavior in accordance with institutional rules and norms.
- Analyze and evaluate common ethical situations in academic life.
