Writing is a productive language skill that involves expressing ideas and organizing them in a coherent, structured, and grammatically correct manner through written language.
In the context of learning a foreign language, writing goes beyond producing correct sentences: it also requires learners to structure their thoughts, apply linguistic rules, and adapt to different types of texts (academic, personal, narrative, etc.) depending on the objectives and intended audience.

This course aims to develop fundamental academic writing skills for first-year students at the Higher Normal School of Teachers.
It focuses on sentence and paragraph construction to help students write with clarity, precision, and coherence. Special attention will be given to:

  • Sentence structure

  • Common syntactic errors

  • Paragraph construction

  • Different types of paragraphs (descriptive, narrative, expository, and argumentative
